epar’s management course, designed specifically for the turf industry in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will run from July this year.

epar Education’s flagship program; Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (Turf Stream) is the result of extensive market research and client input showing an industry need for further leadership, communication and innovation training.

Running over an intensive four weeks, the course is designed under the Australian Qualifications Framework, and is a Nationally Recognised Training program.

With time restraints and demand continuously increasing for turf professionals, the course has been tailored for a busy schedule; it includes some face to face training, a small amount of home based learning and workplace practical experience.

epar are excited to announce the industry experts involved in this year’s program will include Director of International Agronomy for the PGA Tour, Mark Johnson, who will deliver a key leadership session to participants.

Overall the course has been described as practical, with very little homework, and a great opportunity to bounce ideas off fellow industry professionals.

Shaun Taylor, Assistant Course Superintendent at Southern Golf Club was a participant in the course last year, and said it was a great experience.

“The workshop series was well timed over winter and unlike most other training I have done before, with role plays and practical exercises a little more “outside the box”. Not too much homework! And some really worthwhile professional networking with the other students from across our industry.

This will help me take my career to the next level. Really worthwhile if you are looking to improve your ability to lead teams and coordinate projects.”

epar have a reduced student fee for epar members, with places still open in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Enrolment is easy; click here to enrol in minutes online.
